FEDERICO VELLA // The Captain & Co-Founder of The Forge. 

Boxing / Kickboxing / TACFIT / FLOWFIT

Federico began boxing in 1993 at the young age of fifteen. Even while pursuing his masters degree in engineering, his passion for the sport never waned. Over the course of his professional career, he fought in over 100 fights across various specialties including Boxing, Kick boxing, Full contact, Thai boxing, and Savate. He won multiple titles in the professional K1 boxing class including Italian Champion in 2003, European Champion in 2007 and 2-time World Champion in 2009. Crazy for all high-adrenaline sports, especially surfing, kitesurfing, and extreme snowboarding, Federico’s body has retained several painful souvenirs.

Why boxing? “Because I love the respect and the honor that characterizes this sport. Plus it helps me to release stress, keeping my mind and body balanced.”

ANJA BEHREND // The Dancer, or The German Girl.

Growing up surrounded by athleticism in a family of sports fanatics had a great influence on Anja. Eventually, life led her to discover dance, and she quickly became obsessed, leaving home to study ballet at the age of 10. At 17, she landed her first professional job, consequently traveling around the globe and performing on all the major stages as a professional ballet dancer. 8 years later, she became a Principal dancer with Les Ballets de Monte Carlo, and dancing the leading roles in all the major productions was a dream of hers come true. Aside from dance, GYROTONIC®, TACFIT, boxing and aerial yoga, Anja loves nature, cooking and spending time with family, animals, Berlin, and house music.

Why Coaching?: “It took me ages and lots of hours of sweat, patience, hard work, injuries, disappointment, and defeat to reach that shining and often short moment of perfection in training, rehearsals and finally on stage. Coaching for me is a constant evolution of sharing my passion for moment, making my clients’ lives easier and giving them the best out of every single training session.

EMMA WILKINSON 

Ladies Boxing / Gyrotonic / Abs, Legs and Butt Workout

Dancer, model, actress, and now, trainer. Emma discovered her passion for dance at the young age of 4, and by age 10 she was already competing at the All England Finals in Dance. After all of her years at the prestigious Central School of Ballet in London, she attended the top college for dance in the UK, Laine Theatre Arts, in Epsom, where she obtained her national diploma in dance and drama. Shortly thereafter, her dream of becoming a dancer at the internationally-acclaimed cabaret, Le Lido de Paris, was fulfilled, and she subsequently worked 7 years and toured the world with the show.

During her time as a professional dancer, Emma explored other avenues, modeling for Miss England, Sweaty Betty and L’Oréal Paris, and acting in the film St Trinians, as well as other TV shows. From the beginning Emma has been a fitness freak, always taking close care of her body throughout her career, even helping her work colleagues keep fit. She’s also developed a passion for GYROTONIC and boxing. 


Why Coaching? “After training so hard my whole life and performing on stage I wanted to share my passion with others. With my experience at Le Lido I always wanted to make women feel super confident in themselves and to give them all my positive energy. I love to share my knowledge and to help clients reach their body goals.”

CARLO TROTTA 

Functional Training / TACFIT / FLOWFIT

Carlo has been a lover of sports since he was 5 years old, and that love has stuck with him throughout his life and career. From starting off at swimming competitions through to later competing in the triathlon, his competitive spirit burns strong. In 2006 he joined the national triathlon team of Italy, which appeared in the world championships, and stayed with the team until 2018. Throughout his time with the team he competed in many other international competitions, winning the Italian championships 4 times in long distance. Carlo loves pushing the limits.

Apart from his love of the triathlon, Carlo is a toning and slimming coach, a Crossout Functional Training Method enthusiast (involving the Clubbell, Bulgarian bag, Macebell, Kettlebell, and bodyweight flow), and also coaches in spinning, strength and conditioning.

STEFANO GAGLIOLO 

Functional Training  / Boxing / Kickboxing

Stefano began practicing combat sports at the age of 16 in memory of his grandfather, a great boxing enthusiast, to whom he was very attached. At the young age of 20, he obtained his first certification from PT and began working as a coach to pay for his degree in sports science. At the age of 23, he achieved his first major victory as a physical trainer in combat sports, a victory which was the start of many more to follow. At 26, he officially became one of the second coaches of one of the most important teams in Italy and head of the junior sector. Two years later, he began working as an external consultant for athletic training for the Italian Muay Thai national team, a job that he continues to this day.

LIA KEMENDI 

GYROTONIC® / Gyrokinesis / Ballet / Barre

Lia started practicing ballet from her mother‘s ballet school to the Hungarian National Academy. She won competitions prices in Austria,Hungary and USA.

She performed with ballet companies and been part of various events in Bucharest, Milan,Berlin,Copenhagen, Paris.But also traveling worldwide as a solo dancer for the Andrea Boccelli tour. Beside her dancing career she is also a fashion/runway model for brands such as Hugo Boss, Hérmes, Escada, Chaneland a Certified Gyrotonic and Gyrokinesis Trainer. She gives also regular teacher trainings being certified as a Pretrainer for both Gyrotonic and the Gyrokinesis method.
